Providing educational instruction and volleyball play in a comfortable and fun gay positive environment to any person regardless of their gender or sexual orientation.
This division is designed for players who have the 'basics' (i.e. bumping, setting, hitting, serving, etc.) down and would like to concentrate on refining these skills through drills and improving game sense through practice. Intermediate Two players will also learn on-court offensive and defensive formations and game strategy. Intermediate Two players must have played in a VGVA Intermediate division previously or have a very good knowledge of 6-2 specialized play format. The Intermediate Two division holds evaluations at the beginning of each play season to ensure skill level is satisfactory - so be prepared to work!
First day of play is Sunday September 20, 2009. Play is every Sunday from 4:45 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jericho Hill Gym (4196 West 4th Avenue, just west of Alma Street - see directions below).
Play is cancelled on the following days: October 11, November 8, December 27, February 14, April 11.
Teams do 30 mins of skill development and play four 20 minute matches, as well as refereeing a match each week.
Drop-ins are welcome, but play is not guaranteed. The drop-in fee is $5. Men's and women's changing and shower facilities are available.
